Vacant Buildings (§254-21.6)
A sign must be affixed to the building indicating:
The name, address, and telephone number of the owner.
The owner’s authorized agent for service of process (if applicable).
The contact information of the person responsible for daily supervision and management (if different from the owner or agent).
The sign must:
Be at least 18″ × 24″ and placed where it is legible from the nearest public street or sidewalk.
Include the following warning:
“WARNING: THIS BUILDING IS SECURED PURSUANT TO CHAPTER 254 OF THE JERSEY CITY MUNICIPAL CODE. ANYONE ENTERING THIS BUILDING WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION WILL BE SUBJECT TO ARREST.”
